After joining Ferrari from McLaren ahead of this 2021 season, Sainz has been working together with the team in its Maranello mill in recent months, in addition to completing some runs in its simulator.
Ferrari showed late last year it planned to give Sainz an evaluation in one of its older F1 cars over the winter, compensating in part for the restricted amount of official pre-season conducting scheduled in March.
Motorsport.com knows that Sainz will sample a Ferrari F1 car for the first time in Fiorano second Wednesday as part of a larger programme for the group during its private test track.
The conducting will be conducted from the Ferrari SF71H which hurried through the 2018 season, winning six races. Teams are not allowed to utilize any cars that raced in the previous two years, with the 2018-spec automobile being readily available after private evaluations last year.
Sainz is supposed to test on Wednesday and Thursday next week at Fiorano alongside teammate Charles Leclerc, based on that the Monegasque driver has by then tested negative for COVID-19 after contracting the virus earlier this month.
